Federal Chamber of Auditors Identifies a Still Falling Proportion of Non-Audit Services in Publicly Traded Companies

The trend towards the networking of auditors continues – The analysis of the German auditor market for 2020 by the Federal Chamber of Auditors [Wirtschaftsprüferkammer (WPK)] shows that the proportion of non-audit services among the total fees earned from publicly traded companies fells between 2018 and 2020.

Income tax information report to be public in future and subject to audit (country-by-country reporting)

On 28 September 2021, the European Council approved a proposal to amend the Accounting Directive (2013/34/EU) as regards disclosure of income tax information by certain undertakings and branches at first reading.
