The trend towards the networking of auditors continues – The analysis of the German auditor market for 2020 by the Federal Chamber of Auditors [Wirtschaftsprüferkammer (WPK)] shows that the proportion of non-audit services among the total fees earned from publicly traded companies fells between 2018 and 2020.

On 22 November 2021, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) published a Summary of the 38 comments received on its public consultation on the proposed due pro-cess procedure for EU Sustainability Reporting Standard-Setting. On 28 September 2021, the European Council approved a proposal to amend the Accounting Directive (2013/34/EU) as regards disclosure of income tax information by certain undertakings and branches at first reading.
