Single Point of Contact

By 28 December 2009 the European Service Directive was to be implemented in national law. The directive envisages the establishment of so-called single points of contact through which all procedures and formalities necessary for starting and carrying out a service activity can be handled. The key task of the single point of contact is intended to be transmittal of information on what the requirements are for legal acceptance and for practicing a service occupation in Germany. Upon the wish of the service provider the single point of contact plays a supporting role in all of these procedures.

Wirtschaftsprüferkammer (WPK) itself is not a single point of contact. It is, however, available to the single points of contact and all other persons on questions concerning the profession and/or the activity of auditors.

Additional information, also about the single points of contact in Germany, is available from the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
