Vier Nachfolger für Ende 2010 ausscheidende „Trustees“ gesucht

The International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) Foundation is seeking candidates to replace four Trustees who retire at the end of 2010.

We are currently recruiting for these roles and therefore invite you to suggest a candidate or candidates for consideration by the Trustees' Nominating Committee. Twenty-two Trustees, six from Asia/Oceania, six from Europe, six from North America and four from any area of the world, oversee the Foundation and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). The Trustees themselves are publicly accountable to a Monitoring Board of capital market
authorities. The IASB is the 15-member body responsible for the development of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs).

Qualified candidates should have top level experience in an organisation with an interest in accounting standards. They should demonstrate a firm commitment to serving the public interest, to the work of the IASC Foundation and to the IASB as a high quality global standard-setter. They should be financially knowledgeable and be able to meet the time
commitment, which includes, but is not limited to, four two-day meetings each year. Trustees should have an understanding of, and be sensitive to, the challenges associated with the adoption and application of high quality global accounting standards developed for use in the world's capital markets and by other users.

Along with your nomination, please also send:

  • a copy of the candidate's curriculum vitae
  • a statement of the reasons why you believe the candidate meets the requirements of the role

Please send the above by 20 July 2010 to:
